Best time to visit Sao Paulo
Sao Paulo hasn’t a tropical or subtropical weather. Its winter temperatures (June - September) are typically mild (55-75º F/13ºC-24ºC). Air temperatures rarely hit freezing and when they do, it is big news. Anyway, they can drop to low levels. June and July are the driest months of the year with moderate temperatures (above 55º F/13ºC).
Springtime and Fall months (September to November; April to June) are sunny and temperature is higher, with some afternoon showers.
The summer goes from January to March, and temperatures increase as high as 90º F. That’s a rainiest period; afternoon showers become very common.
Which is the best time to visit Sao Paulo?
If you intend to avoid the rain (as most people do) April to September are a good choice.
But if you want to enjoy nearby coastal travel spots and beaches, and if you don’t mind high temperatures, then the best time is the Brazilian summer months (also the one with more people, and more expensive hotel rates in places such as Santos or Guaruja, or Florianópolis or Rio de Janeiro and the beaches around).
